Locally known in the Philippines as Yerba Buena, it is one of the oldest used in household and folkloric remedies known. Traditionally used for tummy ailments and some respiratory troubles, it has been the subject of many studies and research.
Our Cornmint Essential Oil is extracted from leaves and stems via steam distillation method. The scent can be described as fresh, bitter-sweet, strong minty aroma. Due to its high menthol content, it is commonly used in production of menthol crystals.
It has been said that Cornmint can be uplifting and energizing, making it very appealing during mornings and after a tiring or stressful day. Blends well with essential oils that have green, spicy, citrus and sweet notes. Because of its close similarity, it is sometimes substituted or passed off as Peppermint Oil.
